Romania
Regal holds two licences in the north eastern part of Romania to the east of the Carpathian Mountains. The blocks, Suceava and Barlad, are large exploration blocks and lie close to existing producing fields and infrastructure.
Regal has acquired 2D seismic data and drilled two exploration wells on the Suceava block. This block has now been placed in a joint venture with Aurelian Oil and Gas who have undertaken additional seismic and drilled an exploration well in 2007.
Extensive new 2D seismic data has been acquired and interpreted on the Barlad block and two wells were drilled in late 2007.
